 axle question My boss is wondering if he puts a NV231 with a slip yoke eliminator in his cherokee and
91 cherokee front axle if that will also eliminate all the vacum line stuff on the front axle?
I don't know for sure

Re: axle question maybe. He has to check and see if the new axle has the 2 piece passenger side axle. You can look at the housing and tell that.

Re: axle question Avanteone should know based on the year, but yeah, the vacuum disco stuff is OBVIOUS on the axle.

Re: axle question If the NP231 and D30 are out of the same '91 rig, it will be a vac. disco housing. '91 was the last year they used the vacuumd disconnect, and it was only ever in rigs that had the NP231. The NP242 t-case automatically dictated a non-disco axle, and from 1992 on, ALL were non-disco.
