 Torsion Bar Tech
I've been trying to read up on all the different types of Torsion bars, and what came with the stiffest bars. From what I understand the spring door codes are ordered 1,2 and A thru F, "1" being the stiffest and F being the lightest. The type of torsion bar was determined on the assembly line based on vehicle type and options. The stiffest bars (#1) were installed in Sport Trac's and Ranger FX4 Level II's, I think.
Tim, do you thing you can harrass you parts guy to maybe get a list of part numbers that we might be able to associate with the door codes?? It might be a long shot, but we should cross reference the Ranger part numbers with F150 torsion bars ... just in case.

 Re: Torsion Bar Tech
I can try I'm not sure they can do it without looking up each one separately.

 Re: Torsion Bar Tech
Why do I remember F150 bars being shorter. . .like the mount to the rear of the LCA rather than going through to the front. . .or was that just a dream?
