 Chase Truck Prep
Timmay! Give me a run down of things I should pick up for preventative maintenance on the diesel.
Here's what I got:
Oil/ Filter Fuel filter Air filter
Diesel's are voodoo to me, so let me know what else ... I think you mentioned injector o-rings?
Also, if you have time, I'd like you to look at my steering. I've got a pitman arm/ trac bar/ steering clearance issue.

 Re: Chase Truck Prep
Sounds like a good start. Injector o-rings should be okay. The high pressure oil pump o-rings are the ones I was talking about. If the havn't been changed with the updated ones they can spit out and puke all your oil . Also have you had the cam sensor recall done yet? Did you ever get the wheel bearings packed on the trailer? I'm going to the demo derby tonight so I won't be around to lend you a hand but most of that stuff is easy. Get what you can done and I'll lend ya a hand later.

 Re: Chase Truck Prep
Don the other thing you may want to do is run a fuel additive (cetane booster) the 7.3's really seem to like it. I run it in mine and it seems to help with power and mileage. I can get the ford stuff for $6 a bottle. Treats about 125 gallons per bottle. The older diesels weren't desighed for the new ultra low sulfur fuels.

I'm down. If you pick me up a bottle, I'll pay you back. Do you happen to know which fuel filter my truck has ... attached to the lid or not? I've also go things lined out for the intake and exhaust. Rhoades is cutting in a muffler Wed. morn.
