We almost found out. We found a transfer case that provided AWD without interaction from wheel speed sensors, but the bolt pattern was wrong for our transmission.

AWD is something that we will look at very closely when we get into a class that has open transmissions. That is the thing with 7300 though. We have to use a Ranger tranny. Rangers all have the same output. The bigger AWD TxCases just won't fit. The other issue that we thought about was cooling it over the course of a 500 mile race. The fluid in those things does all of the work kind of like a torque converter in an automatic, so we'd have to come up with a whip zammy cooling system for the TxCase.

Eh, if you had a whole weekend with that car/crew I bet we could put together a similar video. They did a good job editing, but you can tell it's not shot all in one pass(the outside camera on the car moves around  )

That is a cool vid tho, I like that he has a cutting brake for the front so it can burn just the back, very fun.

This reminds me, el chivo has been invited to race Rallycross in the 4x4 class in Spokane. Rallycross is autocross, cone racing, in the snow. Sounds like fun and some good publicity .. a little cold though without the windshield, lol.
