 My Taco
Anybody know any places here in Washington to take the truck out? no forest trails for this truck, its all about the desert. I have a Total Chaos LT kit up front and a deaver prerunner pack in the rear, gears, locker, intake, headers, and some... I am in Seattle.

Bubba, I'm thinkin' you're a mite limited on where you're gonna use that thing around here! I like the effort you've put in it. You might consider a run over here to Juniper, but being able to get after it serious will be limited by how much other traffic is out there on any given day. Lots of bikes and ATV's most weekends.

 Re: My Taco
Beverly and Moses Lake would work as well.

 Re: My Taco
i have taken the truck to moses and its pretty limited due to the soft sand and cluster of dunes you cant really get any speed out their i think its more for the 4X4's, i always take my bikes out there though. I have heard a little about Beverly dunes what are the conditions of the sand is it more hard packed? is it fairly flat or pretty much the same as moses? Isnt Juniper in Oregon? if its the same place im thinking about i have heard tons about it, i hear the sand dunes are huge! Is there any desert runs or short courses near Spokane? as for the truck it has: Total Chaos 1" uniball LT kit up front with 450lbs eibach 18" springs on Fox 2.5 coil-overs with resivoirs valved at 90/60, also Fabtech spindles for the extra strength and lift. In the rear I have Deaver prerunner 8 pack J59's mounted on 2" lift shackles, a pair of Bilstien 10" 5125 valved at 170/90 keep me from going all over the place like stock leafs. As for my drivetrain I have a Lock-Rite automatic locker with 4.56 gears. running 31x10.5x15 BF a/t's next will be 33x12.5, on machined aluminum rims. for the engine I have a AEM intake, Pace setter headers and magnaflow exhaust with a down pipe that dumps right after the muffler under the bed. 5 speed. Glassworks front fenders 4.5" buldge 3" lift. pulled rear fenders. all my brake lines are longer and steel braided. Tachometer and alarm. oh and a angled tire rack in the bed. I think thats it but I feel like im missing something. I did all the work except for welding the shock bucket to my frame.
To come: skid plate, lights and bucket seats, maybe S/C if the better half lets me hahaha

 Re: My Taco
Juniper is about 15 miles NE of Pasco. It's the only place close we have to go play, and there are access issues from time to time. Private road into BLM ground. Ain't it great. Dunno, you might find enough room to open that critter up some at Juniper. The guys did it late in the day when the population was down and less worry about post holing someone on a bike. Juniper is the big dune area as far as I know. I've never been in the others.

 Re: My Taco
Beverly isn't huge but it has both hard pack and sand. . .
Juniper is where it is at for you. We are able to do it in 2wd in the race truck with the tires aired up to 35psi. . .so no worries. Just stay off of the dunes and there are miles of roads to bomb.
