Post Prep UPDATE 9/7/08
The guys had a very successful test day with the truck. They put on over 100 miles with no problems at all!! The truck is running better than ever, shifting great and the 4x4 works like it's new. Speaking of new ... El Chivo rolled over 1000 miles on the odometer today

We are running right on schedule. Next week we tear down the suspension to replace all the nuts and bolts, as well as change fluids and do regular maintenance. Jose will be building a belly skid and inspecting one of the shocks. If he get enough time he will be re mounting the floor jack in the bed as well.

Transfer case that is still acting up is out of the truck now for the umteenth time. The replacement t-case from Pasco Auto Wrecking shows up today and we are hoping will bolt right up.

After a ravenous session the other night, the entire front suspension is stripped off the truck and awaiting the new hardware from Fastenal, which will be there today.

Tonight, the rear suspension will get disassembled, front suspension components inspected, cleaned and painted, and hopefully we'll get the transfer case re installed.

Hopefully the new t-case holds up to the abuse. You guys do new hardware every race eh? Wow, that would suck, be good to do, but suck.
