 Speed Shimmy
In talking about making El Chivo go faster I got to thinking about a little problem I have .... At about 75mph my helmet vibrates/ shimmy's so bad in the wind it blurs my vision. I'd love to do 120, but I don't think I could see! Maybe a need a rudder? Or a mohawk But seriously, if we go any faster, I need to figure something out ....

 Re: Speed Shimmy
This may be a dumb question. Is your helmet the right size? is it too loose, if you put it on and shake your head does it move around? Do you use a horse collar and the decell.

 Re: Speed Shimmy
I've never once had a shimmy problem in my Jeep at 100+ mph. Perhaps we should consider a trade.

 Re: Speed Shimmy
I do wear a d-cell and it fits snug ... it vibrates my whole head .... Jake ... a windshield would help a ton in my case

 Re: Speed Shimmy
Eh, for me the easy fix is to just have a rig that doesn't see 100+ mph.

 Re: Speed Shimmy
Maybee your catching wind currents from the lexan around the windshield opening. aren't you shorter than the rest of the drivers?

 Re: Speed Shimmy
Don and I are the same height and I am good to at least 90mph. Never had it faster than that and no shimmy for me.
