Post Sponsor Inquiries
Our team was brought together by a shared passion, but we believe that we will be viable long term because of the relationships that we can build. The diversity of our skill sets and personalities sets us apart. How many "grass roots" race teams are set up as an LLC to share responsibilities? Most of the time it is one guy that has to beg and please for his buddies to help him out. He is responsible for prepping the truck, logistics, finances AND maintaining sponsor relationships not to mention maintaining his life outside of the racing environment with a job or business and a family. It certainly is a daunting task and we admire the fortitude that it takes to operate in that manner. On the other hand, it makes it really hard to have the time to do things right.

RumbleGoat Racing, LLC, is comprised of 4 members. Each member has a unique skill set that they bring to the table. Fozzie is the body and graphics guru, Jose can fabricate with the best in the World, Don is an engineer and project manager, and I (Jim) am a sales, marketing and business development professional. We can all turn a wrench and we can all drive and co-drive with anyone in our class. Each of us has a specialty that is appropriate for different situations depending on the race course, conditions, split times and the condition of the truck.

Our race truck, "El Chivo", is a 2006 Ford Ranger. The extensive Chromoly cage was built professionally and all of the best parts available were used in its construction (6 bypass shocks, aircraft fittings, aluminum coolers, advanced race electronics, etc). At the same time, great care was taken to make sure that the truck LOOKs like a stock 4x4 Ranger. It is a wolf in sheep's clothing.

The RGR team is second to none. They are our backbone and they do it for the love of the sport. Kevin is the pit boss and handled electrical during prep. Dan is a graphic designer that can turn a wrench with the best of them. John owns an auto repair business and is a professional mechanic. Tim is a Ford technician (a handy guy to have around a ranger). Drae is our trackside chiropracter. . .really. Keri is a mechanical engineer. . .and looks good in the dirt, I might add. The list goes on and includes the most important people. . .our families and extended families that have gotten behind our effort and made it their own.

So, yes, we are grass roots, but we have professional level support and a business attitude. The proof, of course, is in the results. We have exactly ONE race behind us. At the 2008 BITD Terrible's 250 at Primm we finished. Not only that, we finished in 3rd place. Our one and only goal for that race was to "experience" the race from inside the cockpit of a race truck (we have extensive pit experience with BITD). Just be the shear level of our preparation, we ended up on the podium. Again. . .what other brand new desert racing teams even finish their first race or even one race in their first year in a series like BITD?

Now, on to sponsorship: We are currently sponsored by Goodyear Tires and State Transmission. We are also very proud members of the Ford 2-way technical exchange program. We also have several contingency sponsors like Sway-A-Way shocks, Autometer Gauges, Mastercraft, Total Power Racing Batteries, and Howe Steering. We are currently seeking sponsors for consumable parts, services and cash. With BITD's TV package and our access to media, current contact base in the enthusiast market, sales ability and relationship driven attitude, we feel confident that we can deliver a high value for your sponsorship dollars. For the rest of the 2008 series, the following rates for our sponsorship partners apply:

1. Sponsor: Stickers on bedsides, web link on http://www.rumblegoatracing.com, mention in race program, press releases, etc. = $500 per race
2. Title Sponsor: Sticker on doors and hood, web link with access to post promotional material, press releases, invites to testing days and hot pits during races, banner on website. = $2500 per race

We will actively promote products and services of both types of sponsors through our network of associates, fellow racers, enthusiasts, and on the web. For an additional fee, the race truck can appear at promotional events.

We realize that our pricing is a lot less than most other teams out there, but we are still an unknown quantity outside of our group. Now is the time to act because our value is going UP. For example, this website now exceeds 4000 unique visitors per month while it only had 1000 visits last February. The growth is showing no signs of stopping and we are considering expanding the team sometime in 2009 for the 2010 season.

Drae and Fozzie have no real names. I've contacted a few folks about sponsorship, no word yet.
