 The clock ticks ...
Almost a week away!
The truck is looking great!
-Rear axle complete, bolts replaced, sitting back on the ground -New transfer case rebuilt and installed, shifter fabbed and installed -steering rack replaced -frame wire wheeled and WD-40'ed -new jack purchased, jose is building the skid plate for it
The front a-arms are getting magnafluxed today, and if all is well, they will get installed with new hardware tonight. The front end should be on the ground tonight. The tires are here, so by the end of the week el chivo will be sporting new Goodyear Wranglers. This week we still have to change fluids and look a few other things over, but all the mechanical work will be wrapped up tonight! Next week we will clean, clean and more clean ... and pack the chase trucks.

 Re: The clock ticks ...
Yep. . .Squirrel is right on the money. We also went over the wiring with a fine tooth comb last night to make sure that everything was in loom and out of Harm's way. I bounced into AutoZone this afternoon to pick up some Fluids and Filters. I picked up two racing oil filters and the autozone dude says, "Hey. . .what about a new tranny filter?" OG replies. . ."One of these IS the tranny filter." Autozone guy: " Nice"

Magnaflux done. No cracks One of the ball joints is a little loose though.

 Re: The clock ticks ...
It is a system that checks for cracks and stress risers in welds using iron powder and a magnet.
